JOINING A LIFE GROUP:
With so many people interested in getting into Life Groups at Red Rocks Church, we have designed GroupLaunch events as a means for people to be able to meet leaders, shop for the right group, and sign up right then and there. GroupLaunch kicks off our Fall (September to December) and Spring (February to May) semesters at each of our Red Rocks Church campuses. This Spring our GroupLaunches will take place Wednesday, February 20, at our Golden Campus and Sunday, February 24, at our Littleton Campus. This summer our GroupLaunchs will take place on Tuesday, June 4, at our Golden campus and Wednesday, June 12, at our Littleton campus.
At our GroupLaunch events you will be able to see all of the new groups available, walk around and meet the leaders, and select a group that works well with your schedule, age group, and interests. This is a great event that allows you to see many potential groups and hear about the philosophy of groups at Red Rocks. We currently operate from a model where all of our Life Group leaders volunteer to lead groups out of their homes, and therefore these groups can fill up quickly. Due to the size of the church, and the Life Groups available, we are unable to connect Life Group leaders with individuals outside of our GroupLaunch events. Typically the groups fill up completely at GroupLaunch, with some groups being beyond full.
In the seasons in between GroupLaunch events, we encourage people to find smaller community through some of our mid-size group opportunities:
- Red Rocks University: Red Rocks University consists of weekly classes on relationships, parenting, finances, and other great topics that allow you to engage with mid-size groups at Red Rocks. These classes take place in the fall and in the spring, and meet for multiple weeks. For more information visit http://www.redrockschurch.com/connect/red-rocks-university/
- Red Rocks Sports Ministry: Getting involved with a league, whether it’s bowling or basketball, is a great way to connect with other people from RRC. The available leagues change each season and getting involved allows you to meet others at Red Rocks in mid-size groups. Our Sports ministry is truly a prominent way that people get connected in an active city like Denver! Find out more information on what sports are happening now by visiting http://redrockssports.com/
- Red Rocks Host Team Ministry: one huge way that people form connections at RRC is through volunteering on Sundays at either our Littleton or Golden locations. Relationships are formed as people volunteer in mid-size teams like Greeters, Ushers, Info Booth, Prayer, Medical, Interpreter, Security, Cafe, and Special Events. If you are interested in serving in any capacity at RRC, please email whittnay@redrockschurch.com. We have a variety of areas you can get involved in depending on your schedule and availability!
- Red Rocks Children's Ministry: many people get involved with mid-size groups on Sundays by volunteering with Little Rock (babies to 4 years old), Kids Rock (kindergarten through 3rd grade), and The Shack (4th, 5th, and 6th grade). Each of these environments helps children connect with God, grow with other children, and learn to follow God. If you would like to get involved with our Children's Ministry volunteer mid-size groups, please email michelle@redrockschurch.com
LEAD A LIFE GROUP:
If you are interested in learning more about becoming a Life Group leader, you should attend our Life Group orientation, Trail Mark. At Trail Mark, you will hear why and how we do life groups at Red Rocks Church and at the end of the first session have an opportunity to officially sign-up to lead a group. The second session will consist of helping you learn how to lead and navigate your group, talking about best practices, and hearing from other leaders about ideas to make your group the best experience it can be for you and your group.
