The Marshall Fire, deemed the worst fire in Colorado history, burned more than 6,000 acres destroying nearly 1,000 homes and structures.

Johnnathan Ward serves as the chaplain at Avista Hospital. They are looking to re-open next Tuesday and have many ideas for how the church can help, some of which are listed below.

  1. Pray for Avista and the 13 families of their staff community who lost homes.
  2. Provide snack baskets to be put in staff lounges
  3. During a shift change, line the driveway with signs and/or people cheering
  4. Pay for a tea cart that chaplains can set up for patients and staff to have “Tea with the Chaplain”
  5. Write 1 minute prayers of encouragement, hope, and God’s love that will be read through the hospital intercom at 10am and 8:30pm.

If you are interested in supporting Avista Hospital with any of these needs, please email Johnnathan Ward at [email protected]a.org.

We invite you to join us as we remember the importance of being part of a team, the positive impact healthy relationships provide, and just how fun it is to be at the ballfield playing sports again with friends.

We need a total of 50 volunteers to help bring this event together, so be among the first to sign up and make a HUGE impact!
