Before the concrete. Before the steel. Before the doors ever open. We’re making room for people.
That’s what we’re building on.
Every number has a name. Every name has a story.
This is what we’re making room for.
More room means more people get the chance to know God, live on purpose, and go change the world.
Not because of the building. Because of the people inside it.
More room for people to know God, live on purpose, and go change the world.
Make your commitment and/or start your recurring gifts here:
A building rises piece by piece. Each concrete panel and steel beam is engraved with a story from Red Rocks Church that opens as a video, and the finished building carries the Red Rocks Church logo.
What is Building Stories?
After years of searching, Red Rocks Austin finally has the opportunity to put down permanent roots in the heart of our city.
For six years, we’ve watched God fill our current building with people. We’ve added services, filled overflow, packed our kids spaces, and squeezed every parking spot we could out of the property (and the Academy Sports next door). Now we have the opportunity to make room for what comes next.
Every number has a name. Every name has a story. Stories of redemption, purpose, healing, belonging, and hope. For years, we’ve prayed for more room to make Heaven more crowded, and God has given us that opportunity.
Our future home sits on 18 acres in Mueller, just down the road from where we gather today. Room for more imperfect people to pursue a perfect God with us.
Together we’ll reduce the remaining debt as quickly as possible, so more future resources keep flowing toward ministry, outreach, and loving our city.

This isn’t just about a building for us. Together, we’ll build 10 churches in Nepal, train pastors in India, and serve kids living in poverty around the world.

Our future home
The numbers
This property was originally valued at over $47 million and expected to sell to a developer.
Through an incredible series of conversations and a shared desire to see this property remain a church, we have an opportunity to purchase it for $31.5 million. Because of years of generosity and careful stewardship, we’re prepared to make a significant investment from the resources we’ve already saved.
Already saved.
Years of generosity, sacrifice, and careful stewardship have allowed us to save $10M toward the purchase of our new home.
Now we get to build from there.

Beyond our city
Through this campaign, we’re partnering with ministries around the world to help more people hear about Jesus, experience the local church, and grow in their faith.
Helping build 10 new churches that will create permanent places for people to gather, worship, and find community.
Equipping local pastors to bring the Gospel to unreached people groups.
Inviting our Next Gen ministries to serve children living in poverty around the world and show them the love of Jesus.
Over the next two years, Building Stories will help us invest in a permanent home for Red Rocks Austin, reduce the debt on the property, continue investing beyond our walls, and help build churches around the world.
Two years of focused generosity.Generations of impact.
God is calling us to sacrifice for the city.

One simple question
God, what are you asking me to give?
For some, that may mean a monthly commitment. For others, it may mean giving from savings, stock, or another asset God has entrusted. Many may choose to do both. There isn’t one amount that defines generosity. We want everyone to pray, decide what God is asking us to commit, and follow through on that commitment.
Sacrifice for what you want, or what you want will become the sacrifice.
“Do good, be rich in good deeds, and be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.”
What’s my part?
Pray about one question: what are you asking me to give?
Choose a first gift, a two-year commitment, or both.
Follow through, and watch what God builds with it.
How can I give?
Consider an initial gift that can help us begin this building campaign strong. It may come from cash, savings, stock, cryptocurrency, real estate, or another asset.
Choose an amount to give consistently throughout the next 24 months: monthly, quarterly, annually, or on another schedule that works for you.
You can participate through either of these, or a combination of both.

FAQs
Still wondering about something? Email giving@redrockschurch.com and a real person will get back to you.
Building Stories is a two-year generosity campaign at Red Rocks Austin. Together we’re buying a permanent home in Mueller, paying down the debt on the property, and investing beyond our walls by building 10 churches in Nepal, training pastors in India, and serving kids around the world.
1504 E 51st Street, Austin, TX 78723, in Mueller, just down the road from where we gather today. It’s about an 8-minute drive to UT, 10 minutes to Downtown, and 15 minutes to the Domain.
Because buildings are about people. Every seat is a chance for someone who’s never been to church to walk in, find community, and meet Jesus. The more room we have, the more crowded Heaven can get.
A first gift is a one-time gift to start the campaign strong, often from savings or assets like stock or crypto. A two-year commitment is a recurring amount you give over the next 24 months. You can do either, or both.
Building Stories is a separate commitment from your regular giving. Our regular giving keeps the ministry running every weekend; Building Stories makes room for what’s next.
No single amount defines generosity. We’re asking everyone to pray one question, “God, what are you asking me to give?”, then decide and follow through.
