If God is stirring a desire for ministry in your heart, this is the place to explore that calling, build essential ministry skills, and grow in character and faithfulness.

First Interview

Candidates being considered will be invited to a preliminary interview with the HR Team for initial screening.

Second Interview

Following the first interview, candidates will sit down with the internship ministry leads and the leader of their chosen ministry area. You'll have the opportunity to share your heart for ministry.

Prepare

Once you say yes to the internship, the real adventure begins. You'll need to handle practical things like fundraising, securing housing, and giving notice at your job before the program starts.

Should I expect to get a job at Red Rocks Church at the end of the program?

No—this internship is designed as a season of growth, training, and preparation for the call God has placed on your life. Our focus is to help you explore your calling, develop your gifts, and grow as a leader and follower of Christ. While some interns may be invited to continue into a residency, participation in the internship does not guarantee employment at Red Rocks Church after the nine months. Instead, this is a season to equip you for wherever God may lead next.

What is the suggested fundraising goal of $5,000-$10,000 for?

Interns are responsible for raising the funds needed to live off of for the 9-month internship. This money does not go to the church. Interns must consider their expenses and raise the amount of money needed. When putting together a budget consider car payments, health and auto insurance, meals, gas, housing, phone, etc.

Is housing and transportation provided?

Interns are responsible for their own transportation during the program. While we do not provide housing, we do offer support for out-of-state or international interns by helping connect them with host families within the church community. Our goal is to help you find a safe, welcoming place to stay so you can focus fully on serving and growing during your internship.

Will I receive payment or benefits?

No, the internship is unpaid and does not include benefits. We want this to be a season of surrender, where you learn to fully rely on the Lord as you grow and build your faith.

Can I have another job or attend school while participating in the internship?

No. Interns are NOT allowed to have a job or attend school because of the interference with the ministry hours at Red Rocks Church.

Is this a gap year program?

No. The purpose of the RRC Internship Program is focused on developing those who feel called to church ministry. This program is not to be used as a gap year. It isn’t for those who are hoping an internship will be a means to help you figure out your life. This is for people who feel called to church ministry and know it’s their next step.
