In this part of the Work section you will find resources and practices that enable you to perceive your work as an act of worship. We spend almost 1,801 hours a year at work, while only around 52 hours a year at church. Don’t get confused, we are not worshiping our work. Rather, we want to see those 1,801 hours as an opportunity to worship God with our work as we create flourishing in the world around us.

Practices

Daily

  • God created us to be co-creators with him, during your work today, focus on working with God. Even if your work feels insignificant, imagine that you are creating with God.

Weekly

  • This week, pray for one person in your workplace and be attentive to the ways God is creating space for conversation with them.

Monthly

  • Take an inventory of your resources. Time, Money, Possessions, Gifts, Experiences, Interests and Motivations, you circumstances, relationships and pray about how God is inviting you to steward these resources as worship to him.
