In this part of the Rhythms section you will find resources and practices to help you establish meaningful rhythms throughout the year. All of us orient our lives around a calendar. For some it is the academic calendar and others the yearly calendar. As the people of God, we orient ourselves around the Christian calendar that is made up of advent, Christmas, lent, and easter seasons that follow the story of God as we embrace seasons of waiting, expectation, loss, lament, joy, and new life.
Practices
Daily
- During the season of lent, choose something you want to fast for 40 days.
- Create a thankfulness calendar in your home where you write down one thing you were thankful for each day.
Weekly
- Follow along with the story of God in scripture during the church seasons of advent and lent by using the common lectionary
Monthly
- Create rhythms that celebrate the passage of time in your home for Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer.
