Red Rocks Church
Red Rocks Church exists to make Heaven more crowded, meaning there is room for you to come as you are, to grow in your relationship with Jesus, and to be a part of this community of imperfect people pursuing a perfect God! We desire to be a home for the prodigal, an authentic people who are humble, generous, and unified. We want everyone to know the way, the truth, and the life found in Jesus.
Whether you just committed your life to following Jesus TODAY or you have been following Christ for years and simply want to grow in your journey with God, we have some resources that will help you take the next step wherever you find yourself. We believe that these next steps involve learning more about God and what it looks like to be a follower of Jesus, finding your place in the community, becoming the kind of person God asks you to be, and getting started living the life God designed for you!
We are excited for the journey you are beginning today, and as we say often at Red Rocks Church, welcome home!
30 Days to Moving Closer to God
Our 30 day Transit Devotional is all about moving closer to God and being transformed by the journey. In this devotional we talk about how to read your Bible, how to pray, and how to deepen your relationship with God. Each day of the 30-day journey includes a movement section that talks about to do, to read, and to remember action steps.
What is Baptism?
Baptism and communion are the two things that Jesus asked us to do as visible symbols of God’s invisible grace in our lives, and we believe that they have great symbolic meaning for believers. Baptism is a visual and symbolic demonstration of a person’s union with Christ in the likeness of His death and resurrection. It is an outward sign of an inward change. It signifies that a person’s former way of life has been put to death and symbolically depicts a release from the mastery of sin. As we enter into the waters, we are reminded that Christ was crucified and raised from the dead and that we too have died to the old self in order to live for Christ. It is a powerful reminder of God’s goodness and grace, while serving as a step of obedience to follow Jesus’ example.
At Red Rocks Church we believe that Groups are the best place for sustained life change to happen. First and foremost, we are devoted to gathering together at our weekend services to hear God’s message, to engage in worship, and to give. We are then equally devoted to gathering in homes and talking about how to apply the weekend’s message to our lives, as we are surrounded by friends who are also pursuing God. Groups meet in homes for a few months at a time, and they are located around the city so that you can find one that is close to you. A life group gives everyone a chance to know and to be known by others and to have an opportunity to be discipled and to pursue all that God has planned for our lives.
Another amazing way to get involved in community at Red Rocks Church is through Red Rocks Sports, which is currently one of the largest sports leagues in Colorado! We live in an active state, surrounded by God’s creation, and we take full advantage of the weather to stay active all year long. Red Rocks Sports is a come-as-you-are ministry that welcomes ANYONE 18 and older to participate in our leagues/events! If you are looking to have an experience that is deeper than just playing sports, you’ve found the place!
One of the best ways to make Red Rocks Church your home is by joining a Serve Team! Serve Teams play a part in ministering to people in so many different ways, and when you join the team you become part of a community of people who are committed to making Heaven more crowded. Serving opportunities are available in multiple ministry areas and there are options to serve once a month, every other week, or whatever frequency works well with your schedule.
Recover at Red Rocks is an open event that takes place every Friday from 6:30-8:00pm at the Littleton Campus. Recover is a once a week gathering where individuals meet together in a large group setting for worship, teaching, and testimonies. From there, all participants separate into gender-specific and topic-specific small groups. In these groups, we encourage you to discuss the teaching and apply it to current life issues. Those looking to address his or her recovery on a deeper level are encouraged to join an additional, gender-specific, Recover group. These groups work through the Celebrate Recovery Participant’s guide which is based on the Christ-centered 12 steps.
